The KUPCO FARMS

1: Parent Farms

It has 8 sites, involved in REARING and BREEDING of Broiler parent stocks chickens. Each site has a capacity of 40,000 breeders with total capacity of 320,000 birds. The farm is using COBB and Aviagen breeds. All hatching eggs produced everyday are delivered to KUPCO hatcheries.

2: Broiler Farms

KUPCO Broiler farms have 2 sites, Kupco 1, and Kupco 2. Kupco 1 – has 7 farms and Kupco 2 – has 10 farms. The farms are harvesting 2-3 million chickens per month.

3: Layer Farms

The layer farms have Rearing, Laying and Egg Grading- Sorting house. The Rearing farm has 6 houses with total capacity of 350,000 pullets. The Laying farm has 15 houses with total capacity of 700,000 layers. The Grading- Sorting house has two MOBA machines for the Grading, Sorting and Packing eggs with 120,000 eggs per hour capacity. It also has temperature controlled storage rooms.

4: Hatcheries

KUPCO hatcheries have capacity of 4 Million eggs per month. It is using the latest high tech hatchery machine equipments i.e. Pas Reform and Petersime. It is distributing day old chicks to the Broiler farm sites using the newest and high tech transportation trucks, from Herring company.

5: Veterinary

KUPCO’s Animal health is managed and handled by highly qualified Veterinarian personnel. Kupco has its own internal Diagnostic laboratory, that is responsible for the chickens and eggs health, testing and diagnostic works. In cases of some special diagnostic tests, Kupco submit samples to external laboratories inside Kuwait and abroad.

6: Feed Mill

KUPCO FEED MILL have two separate feed production lines i.e. MASH and PELLET. It is producing feeds daily at 350 tonnes. The feeds are processed using Natural high quality ingredients. All feeds are processed and delivered to the farms fresh daily. It is delivered to the farm sites silos by bulk trucks. KUPCO regularly checks the feed quality of each batch by NIR machine for feed analysis.

7: Slaughter House / Processing Plant

The Company have a State of the Art Slaughter House / Processing Plant Unit that has a operational period of 6 days a week. The Processing Plant unit is equipped with latest tech based Automated System of Chicken conveyors, hangers, feather pluckers, automatic evisceration section, complete vacuum system for air chiller, automatic grading system etc.. Islamic procedures are strictly followed while bleeding the Chicken manually with knife by hand. The carcasses are automatically graded as per weight using the Automatic Grading System / Machine, packed and labelled prior to blast freezing and finally to storage at minus -20 / -30 degree centigrade.

8: Quality Control

KUPCO have a Quality Control Department to manage the day to day affairs of the Poultry Operations and Products to ensure that these are processed at high standard, its quality adheres to the standards according to FSMS 2001-2005. Internal and External Audits towards Cleaning and Sanitation Audit for Food Safety are conducted every year by ISO, PAI, and other Companies/ Agencies, as required by the McDonald’s, Jollibee, US Army, Hotels & Restaurants, Hospitals , Kiosk stores, Supermarkets, Kuwait Cooperative Stores and Others.

9: Concern for the environment:

The Company has concern for Environment and is very much interested in Environmental Conservation Projects. It has already taken up Project for Rendering Plant to treat solid waste resulting from production, using the advanced technology in cooperation with the reputed Companies specialized in this field.

It is already operating Water Treatment Plant, to treat wastewater and convert it into arable water, in conformity with the specifications of Agricultural Irrigation Water, with a capacity of more than 800 cubic meter production per day. The Company also operates a Composting Plant.

10: BRAND

The Company is Proud to Produce and Market a group of its high quality products to the consumer under two brands, namely Mutaheda and Wataniya, and these products are increasingly gaining consumer confidence and satisfaction.
